Sorry peoples!

I promised I'd have that first episode by the end of the week! I actually had it three-quarters of the way done on Friday, and then I got busy and totally forgot about my blog. Shall we agree to a new deadline at the end of this week? That gives me six days to finish it up. I think I can do that.

Also apologies about not posting for two weeks. But I WON'T abandon it for two months this time. I swear. Really. What, you don't believe me? I'm offended. *turns up nose*

Again, apologies from Tick-Tick.

Oh, and a happy Mother's Day to all!

Mother's Day, also known as YHW Day (Yard and House Work). >.D

Lists, lists, lists (don't our writing teachers say to avoid those?)

My Top 10 favorite science fiction authors:

Connie Willis
Julie E. Czerneda
Toni Anzetti/ Anne Tonsor Zeddies
Jeffrey A. Carver
Spider Robinson (Greetings earthlings. Take me to your bartender.)
Heinlien (the only one of Gods of SF that people invoke whose stories I like - that is, the early stuff. not the crap he wrote later in life)
Orson Scott Card (besides the Ender books and the Shadow books, I really liked Wyrms. And I plan to read Enchantment as soon as I can find it)

I'm realizing a lot of the science fiction I read is short story anthologies. Stuff that I love by authors for whom that is the only one of their works that I have read. So, my list becomes the top seven sf writers.

Top 5 fantasy writers:

1. Emma Bull
2. C. E. Murphy (despite the fact that I have only read one of her books and she only has a few out right now, possibly only two)
3. Robin McKinley (The only Robin McKinley book I've met that I didn't like was Spindle's End)
4. Jane Yolen
5. Diana Wynne Jones

Should be doing.... am doing.... and will be doing.

Should be doing: my 'effin English homework. Am doing: Well, besides making blog entries I'm daydreaming, pondering the mysteries of life, and generally mildewing (wait..... mysteries of life cause mildew? ..... deep). Will be doing: working on the previously mentioned adventure serial.

I'll add one. Could be doing: practicing oboe, doing my vocal exercises, running my lines for Much Ado, letting wondrous creativity meld me with the universe (a.k.a. freewrite or poetry or paint or any other Bohemian activity). Also could be doing: practicing piano, doing the homework from drama, cleaning the disaster area referred to as my room.... any number of things. And you know what I say to that? Too bad.
