Guinea Pigs

During April vacation I am taking a course at Tufts on computer graphics. It is cool, but I wish it would move a little faster. So far I haven't learned much that I couldn't just learn from experimentation. It still rocks though. There are functions in paintshop pro that can let you take a photo and make it look like you drew it. We can cheat! Just kidding, I would never claim to have drawn something that I just altered in paintshop pro. There are also many other effect thingies.
Today we got to put stuff on our t-shirts. There is a paper that you can iron onto the shirt, and it makes it stick. **Oooooh**
I can't wait until we start doing animation stuffs. Grrrr.... so impatient.

Also, we are guinea pigs(so that's what the title meant!). They give us questionnaires and stuff, because they are analyzing how much kids use the internet and what they use it for. Our teacher says that that is the only way in which we are guinea pigs, but he secretly has recording equipment hidden around the room. LOL :)

BikeRide!

So far today I've gone on two bike rides. The first was with a friend and her family. We had lunch at Carberry's, and I tried a new type of sandwich that was pretty good, if very strong. But that bike ride was rushed because we had to make it in about 40 minutes in order to get back in time to meet with my math and writing tutor. It also wasn't very long because lunch took awhile.
Then I went biking while my family roller bladed, and we went farther, but I had to go slow because bikes are faster than blades.
In short, two fun bike rides that could have been more so.

There is a "Rhymes with Orange" comic that has "The Reasons we Ride," or something like that.
The old man's thought bubble says "Fitness," the young man's is "The Environment," the teenager's is "Independence," and the little kid has a thought bubble that says...

"WIND!"
When you think about it, on a fast moving bike, the wind really is part of the exhilarating experience. So even though the comic is funny, it's more than just little kids who think of wind as a good thing that you get when riding a bike.

SF writing contest!

Hello. I have not updated in forever. Oops. Me be lazy. :)

There is an international SF writing contest going on. I am entering with a story I wrote on Wednesday. It's about a girl who is going to live on Mars. I wrote in one day and my dad thinks it's really good. I need to shorten it, though. It can't be over 1000 words and right now it's about 1100.
